Pressure Injury (PI) Sprint Series: Quality Improvement Principles for Pressure Injuries

Join the Health Quality Innovation Network (HQIN) for the second session of our seven part Pressure Injury (PI) Sprint Series to learn how to apply quality improvement principles to your PI program.  This session will focus on accurate identification of pressure injuries (PIs) versus non pressure related wounds, accurate staging and measurement of PIs.  Participants will also learn the importance of accurate and timely wound documentation and how to resolve inconsistencies.

A Certified Wound Ostomy Nurse (CWON) will offer guidance, resources, and tools that will allow participants to identify gaps, reduce root causes in the wound identification, staging, and documentation process that can negatively impact pressure injury outcomes.
