The Carolinas Center for Medical Excellence is hosting a series of 30-minute open office calls featuring relevant topics and expert advice from South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) leaders. Each call will focus on a different topic based on observations from the field, frequently asked questions from nursing homes or identified risks through agency review. Each call also will outline Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) practice guidelines and share best practices. These brief calls are interactive and allow time for participants to ask questions.

During this call Pat Kopp, BSMT (ASCP), Infection Preventionist, HAI Coordinator for DHEC will discuss how to reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission when contract staff access your facility.
